Shared Lives Plus is the UK network for small community services. Our members work on a small scale or in their own family homes, helping adults with long term conditions to live good lives in a place they feel they belong.
The Shared Lives sector has doubled in England since 2005. Our challenge is to double it again in three to five years, reaching thousands more adults and older people with family-based care, support and inclusion radically different to traditional social care. In anticipation of more substantial five year funding, NESTA has funded two interim posts to kick-start this growth and to build the capacity of our small organisation during this exciting but demanding period of growth and change.

A new Director will lead our support for existing Shared Lives schemes and carers and our development work with new and diversifying schemes, working with our 4,500 members and key partners. You will be supported by a newly recruited Development Officer and lead our Shared Lives team, with a focus on helping our members and partners to bring Shared Lives breaks, day support and long term support to older people, their family carers and people needing home-from-hospital care.

Secondments and consultants considered.

Deadline for completed applications 10am 17 July 2013
