I love Shared Lives Valentine’s day campaign - #LoveSharedLives
Schemes will have received a number of “I love Shared Lives” stickers for distribution among Shared Lives carers, people who use Shared Lives services and anyone else working in or supporting Shared Lives.
Around Valentine’s Day (we know that the 14th is a Saturday, so it may be easier for people to do things a couple of days before or after) we are asking people to do one simple thing. Tell somebody why they love Shared Lives. It could be a neighbour, somebody in the queue at the shops, a local elected representative or for those people using social media, a Facebook friend or a twitter follower. If you have one of our stickers, ask them to wear it and maybe have a photo too!
Let us know what you did, email or tweet us (@SharedLivesPlus) pictures of people wearing the stickers, and generally get the word out in any way that you can!
If you are using twitter please include @SharedLivesPlus and #LoveSharedLives
You’ll also see a template press release to send out in advance for schemes as well – as always we’ll be delighted to help with any local press and we’ll be publishing your stories both on the web and in the next issue of Sharing!
You can get hold of an electronic copy in the members’ area of the website.
Contact Tim Moore or Helen Brennan in the Communications Team for more information. If any schemes in Wales would like to receive the template Press Release in Welsh, please let us know and we will make sure this is available. The hashtag is #CaruCysylltuBywydau
We may also be able to distribute more stickers if schemes, or local carer groups have any events planned.
Best wishes

The Shared Lives Plus Team
