This section is about supporting people in Shared Lives arrangements to live an everyday life. The guidance covers:
 
3.01 Communication, choices and decisions: Details how schemes and Shared Lives carers can support people using or living in Shared Lives arrangements to make effective decisions, communicate their preferences and make the choices they want.
3.02 Family, friends, culture and community: Explains how schemes and Shared Lives carers can support people using or living in a Shared Lives arrangement to maintain and develop personal and family relationships, pursue their own cultural and religious customs and be active members of their local community in ways that they wish.
3.03 Safe friendships and relationships: provides information on how schemes and Shared Lives carers can support people using or living in Shared Lives arrangements to have safe friendships and relationships.
