Not everyone needs to be registered with the Care Quality Commission but for those who do how they work and what they charge is very important.
These two updates cover changes to their fee structure and inspections.
As Shared Lives Plus we responded to the consultation on fees and had hoped for a bigger reduction for the smallest providers than the one seen in the final report which cuts the lowest banding for the category “Adult Social Care providers without accommodation” from £1,000 to £720. Possibly due to the government expecting the CQC to recover all the costs of inspections.
Does this affect you?
Do you think this is still too expensive?
What price would be acceptable?
I would also be interested on people views of how inspection work and the processes involved. Please share your views.
