The DBS has moved to their new gov.uk/dbs website and it includes a guide to applying for a check: https://www.gov.uk/d...g-service-check.

The DBS also expect to launch their new Update Service in the summer.  This is a little later than planned because of the Court of Appeal filtering judgment on the disclosure of certain old and minor convictions and cautions.

The Home Office and Ministry of Justice had lodged an application to appeal the judgment.  They have now started the legislative process (subject to agreement by Parliament) so that certain old and minor convictions and cautions will no longer be disclosed on a DBS Certificate.

These changes will not come into force until after the legislation has completed its passage through Parliament.
