Shared Lives Plus commissioned Your Voice Counts to engage with people who use Shared Lives to find out:
- How they want to be involved in the planning and running of their Shared Lives service
- How people want to have their say about Shared Lives
- What Shared Lives users would like to see in the important policies; for example, how can the complaints policy be made more accessible?
Your Voice Counts employed people with learning disabilities, the Champions, to work on this project and they engaged with people who use Shared Lives in Leeds, South Tyneside and Northumberland. The project held meetings, workshops and one to one meetings in each of the areas to talk to as many people as possible.
